A feed on follow.it what users can subscribe to in order to follow you via follow.it. It is created after you entered your website URL or RSS feed on the feed set-up page. 

Despite containing the word “feed” it is not to be confused with RSS feeds. A follow.it feed requires a valid underlying RSS feed, however, it is not the same, but offers many more options for followers (and publishers!). 

That said, the follow page for a feed on follow.it can also serve as an RSS feed. For example, if users want to follow you via RSS, they can enter the URL of the feed page, such as follow.it/techcrunch into their RSS readers (or “feed readers”) and consume your news that way. 

For you, as a publisher, it is preferable to make RSS users follow your follow.it feed, rather than the underlying original RSS feed because this way we can track usage, and provide you the reports in your statistics area.
